The TNI Commander said Latsitarda Nusantara which was held from April 7-24 had very important meaning in the midst of handling the Covid-19 pandemic and recovering the national economy. Latsitarda is expected to help reduce people's difficulties, including those caused by the pandemic. "At this time, a spirit of synergy and cooperation is urgently needed, so that Indonesia can rise together and carry out national development," he added.
According to the TNI Commander, the challenges that will be faced by cadets and students will continue to change and the complexity of the challenges will continue to increase. It takes TNI-Polri Officers and the next generation of the nation who are tough, able to adapt and take advantage of existing progress. "Therefore, Latsitarda must really be used to gain experience, establish personal communication, and build cooperation as well as possible," said the TNI Commander.
TNI Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto also thanked the Governor of North Sumatra, the Regents/Mayors, Forkopimda in North Sumatra which became the Latsitarda Nusantara XLI area in 2021 and the Danjen of the TNI Academy, Kalemdiklat Polri, the Governors of the Armed Forces Academy, the Governor of the Police Academy, the Chancellors, as well as all coaches and trainers involved in Latsitarda.
"To all the people of North Sumatra, I entrust the nation's best young generation. Make them young people who have the spirit of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, who are proud of diversity, while being able to care for and maintain national unity and unity," the TNI Commander ordered.
Several areas have become the location for Latsitarda Nusantara, such as Simalungun Regency, Binjai City, Langkat Regency, Tebing Tinggi City, Deli Serdang Regency and Medan City. The physical targets include repairing houses of worship, public facilities, security posts and public toilets, cleaning drainage, repairing uninhabitable houses and repairing/asphalting roads/paving. While the non-physical includes social research, counseling on Covid-19, narcotics, health, strengthening tough villages/village, instilling fighting values, introduction to the TNI Academy and Police Academy, drum band training and visits to religious and community leaders.
The training participants were 802 cadets with details, 227 Akmil cadets, 101 AAL cadets/cadets, 91 AAU cadets/cadets and the Police Academy 282 cadets/cadets. While there are 100 local students, consisting of 25 students from the University of North Sumatra, 10 students from Simalungun University, 15 students from Efarina Simalungun University, 25 students from UIN North Sumatra University and 25 students from STAIN JM Tj. Temple (bp).
