Tatto explained the existence of a Guyub, Safe, Peaceful, Beautiful, Prosperous (GADIS) Quality Village in Tegalreja Village, Cilacap Selatan District, Central Java, to the entourage of the Minister of Environment and Forestry (LHK) Siti Nurbaya.
The GADIS program was initiated in 2017 with assistance from PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional RU IV Cilacap through the Environmental Social Responsibility program through community empowerment based on environment, health and education.
The Minister of Environment and Forestry had the opportunity to see the management of the Beo Asri Garbage Bank and inaugurate the Energy Independent Village Program through environmentally friendly technological innovation Eco Smart Greenhouse Hydroponics integrated with a Solar Power Plant with a capacity of 1,000 Watt Peak (WP).
The Hydroponic Eco Smart Greenhouse innovation benefits the community for the hydroponic nursery process by using solar panels as a source of electricity to automate watering the seeds.
Siti appreciates that this program has produced results for the hydroponic farmer group, namely in the form of increasing the group's economic income which comes not only from selling vegetable products, but also from selling hydroponic plant seeds.
"Effectively, the community gets an increase in income of IDR 500,000/month compared to the previous time the community had to buy seeds of IDR 1,200,000/unit per month," said Siti.
Many people admit that the village on the banks of the railroad tracks was originally a slum location, a garbage dump, an area for juvenile delinquency, and a location for frequent accidents on the railroads. However, after working with PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI) RU IV Cilacap, this location has become more productive, healthy and independent.
The Tegalreja Village farmer group has also been able to manage hydroponic gardening products from upstream to downstream which has brought many benefits to the group, especially in terms of income. The Eco Smart Greenhouse program has been expanded by producing hydroponic juices and snacks with high selling value. Another positive impact is that the Tegalreja hydroponic garden is often a place for visits from other areas for both study and recreation.

"The KampungGirl program is a form of PT KPI's commitment to support the Indonesian government's efforts to respond to climate change based on full awareness in supporting the 13th goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) related to tackling climate change." said PT KPI's Director of Operations, Didik Bahagia.
Apart from the Eco Smart Greenhouse Innovation, the group also saw the Beo Asri Garbage Bank program which is utilized by the community to participate in environmental waste control through several main activities, such as saving waste with SAHARA savings, craft production through non-B3 waste, managing inorganic waste into fertilizer, and participating active in the marketing of handicrafts. The management of the Beo Asri Garbage Bank consists of mothers, the elderly and ex-juvenile delinquents (ma).
