Indonesian society is very thick with religious life. There is no form, type and variety of social life whose citizens are not related to and separated from religion. With the reality of highly religious citizens, the religious way of every member of the nation, which is essentially a religious community, becomes very vital.
Recently, there have been a number of problems in our religious life. Among them, the emergence of a religious style that is precisely the opposite and denies the main core of the teachings of religion itself. Religion is carried out exclusively, the approach is segregative, spreads confrontational things, and then becomes destructive. Whereas the essence of religious teachings is inclusive, integrative, cooperative, and constructive. Because the essence of religious teachings is to build the common good.
Another phenomenon that is somewhat worrying is the existence of religious understandings and practices that diametrically damage and tear our national bonds apart, such as opposing the State ideology of Pancasila with religion.
Because of this, it is necessary to carry out a joint movement called Religious Moderation. A more complete discussion on this matter will be discussed in a webinar from the Satupena Writers' Association. In the Hati Pena Chat 43, Lukman Hakim Saifuddin, former Minister of Religion during President Jokowi's era, volume I will be present.
The webinar with the theme Religious Moderation Protects Indonesia, will be held on Thursday 23 June 2022, 19.00-21.00 WIB, hosted by Elza Peldi Taher and Amelia Fitriani.
