Rohingya illegal immigrants stranded in Aceh

Aceh Besar, Indonesia News Present : Bakamla RI through Bakamla Station Banda Aceh, helped evacuate stranded ship passengers. It is known that the passengers were illegal immigrants from the Rohingya ethnic group from Myanmar. The wooden ship that took him sank on the coast of Ladong Village, Aceh Besar (25/12).

The Rohingya illegal immigrants sailed from Myanmar to Malaysia. Unfortunately, the ship suffered engine failure and drifted on the sea for about a month. Ironically, of the passengers who survived, during their voyage they did not bring sufficient food supplies.

Bakamla RI also helps protect immigrants

A joint team was formed to save these immigrants. What's more, 2 of the 57 passengers on the ship were found to be sick. The joint team consisted of Polairud, Lanal Sabang, Aceh Besar Regional Secretary, Aceh Immigration Office, Banda Aceh Bakamla Station, Raya Mosque Health Service Office, and Aceh Besar Social Service.

Until this news was published, the illegal immigrants were secured by the Aceh Social Service as temporary shelters and security (MA).
