There are nine parekraf development policies in 2023, oriented towards the development of a quality, sustainable and digital-based tourism industry. The nine policies are a follow-up to the G20 Bali Guidelines 2022, the 2022 WCCE Bali Roadmap, and the 2023 ASEAN Chair.
The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy will also strengthen a quality and sustainable tourism industry, as well as the development of 5 Super Priority Destinations and 10 Priority Tourism Destinations. "Fourth is Proud to Travel in Indonesia and fifth is the development of added value to the creative economy and Intellectual Property Rights," he added.
In addition, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy continues to strengthen upskilling, reskilling and newskilling, synergy and collaboration of parekraf programs, as well as organizing MICE events (Meeting, Incentive, Conference, Exhibition) and special interest tourism. "And the ninth is crisis management and disaster mitigation in the tourism and creative economy sector," said Angela.
The government previously set achievement targets in the tourism and creative economy sector in 2023. Namely, the projected foreign exchange value could reach US$2.07 billion - 5.95 billion, the tourism GDP contribution is 4.10 percent, the export value of creative economy products is 26 .46 billion US dollars, and the target of added value for creatives is projected at IDR 1,279 trillion.

Meanwhile, the target for foreign tourist visits is between 3.4 million-7.4 million people, domestic tourist visits between 1.2 billion-1.4 billion movements, an increase in ranking in the Travel and Tourism Development Index (TTDI) between 29-34, and the tourism workforce target is 21.93 million people and the creative economy workforce is 22.59 million people.
In an effort to achieve this target, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy is making maximum efforts through strategic work programs in all work units with a total budget ceiling of IDR 3,381,345,168,000.
Angela also conveyed preparations for the implementation of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) on 2-5 February 2023 in Yogyakarta with the theme "A Journey to Wonderful Destinations". "ATF is a form of regional cooperation in promoting ASEAN as a tourism destination and this is carried out annually in rotation, this year it will be held in Indonesia in a series of Indonesia's Chair in ASEAN 2023," said Angela (ma).
