Labuan Bajo/NTT (Indonesia News) - The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf) held technical guidance/training activities for the community in three tourist villages in the buffer zones of Labuan Bajo's Super Priority Tourism Destinations (DPSP). Namely Golo Bilas Village, Gorontalo Village, and Wae Kelambu Village.
The training took place for two days on 23-24-January 2023 in Kaper Village, Golo Bilas Village, West Manggarai Regency. Villagers received various materials, such as preparing tourism awareness and tourism awareness groups (Pokdarwis), mapping the potential of tourism villages, closed with group discussions, and practical work on planning for the preparation of tourism village potential and Pokdarwis.
"The development of a tourist village has a multiplier effect on each industry involved so that it can create jobs and improve people's welfare," said Menparekraf Sandiaga (23/1/2023).
Meanwhile, Deputy for Destination Development and Infrastructure at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Vinsensius Jemadu, who attended offline accompanied by the Main Director of the Labuan Bajo Flores Implementing Authority, Shana Fatina said that this activity touched on aspects of destination management, which required cooperation, support and readiness from the regions.
"For this reason, people in destinations need to have a rhythmic perception and understanding of the direction of destination development. This can be realized through capacity building programs such as today's Bimtek," explained Vincent.
