The emphasis is. so that there is continuous strengthening, by consistently fighting for highly competitive tourism professionals, so that they can be absorbed not only in the ASEAN market but also globally. In the ASEAN region itself, the ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Tourism Professionals (MRA-TP) has been designed, to facilitate the movement of tourism professional workers between ASEAN members.

The existence of quality tourism human resources, according to Giri, will affect the comfort of tourists when visiting tourist destinations. Especially after this pandemic, the movement of tourists has started to increase.
The latest World Tourism Barometer data released by the United Nations Tourism Institute or UNWTO in January 2023 shows that in the Southeast Asian region there were around 34.4 million tourist arrivals. This number has increased compared to 2021 which was only around 2.9 million.
