Dissemination of Bawal Laut Pipe and Cable Business permits |
Jakarta, Indonesia News : The potential of Indonesia's territory, which is dominated by waters, has many business opportunities. One of them is the underwater pipeline and cable business. That is why the Government is serious about arranging permits so that it can run well through one door.
This is the background for the Commander of the Indonesian Navy's Hydro-Oceanographic Center (Danpushidrosal) Rear Admiral TNI Nurhidayat chairing a meeting on socialization of the business process for undersea pipelines and cables, recently in Pushidrosal, East Ancol, North Jakarta (2/2), attended by representatives of Wilhan Ministry of Defense, PLN Main Distribution Unit (UID) of Suluttenggo, National Research and Innovation Agency/BRIN, and Directorate of Marine and Coast Guard Unit of the Republic of Indonesia/KPLP
Because, according to Danpushidrosal, with the increasing number of surveyors who have data about this business, it is hoped that they can collaborate together so that it becomes a fast data coverage throughout Indonesia. So that a Presidential Decree will be born, in order to arrange one permit door.
With this underwater survey data, underwater cable installation activities can be laid regularly and not haphazardly. In the future, on the initiation of the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Pushidrosal together with the National Team, will soon be launching the "e-cable pipe" application.

This application is intended to facilitate licensing and the process of installing pipelines and sea cables, the process can be completed in one month. As they all admit, there are still many seas in Indonesia that have not been surveyed because previously survey data used the old model. Not fully updated yet.
Danpushidrosal gave an example in the Dutch era that they still used measurements using ropes to touch the seabed, until the development of the times the tools used used single beams to the current rapid development of the use of multibeam which is widely used by surveyors (MA).
